UNISILKON F GLK 112

Bowden cables in cars have to operate smoothly and noiseless at any temperature in summer and winter time.

UNISILKON F GLK 112 optimally contributes to complying with this requirement as it ensures smooth operation of components at low temperatures and very good stability at high temperatures. The lubricant is based on carefully composed silicone oil, special lithium soap and solid lubricants which enable a low breakaway torque.

UNISILKON F GLK 112 also stands out for its compatibility with many elastomers (but not silicone rubber) and plastics.

  • UNISILKON F GLK 112 is primarily used for the lubrication of rubbermetal, plastic-metal or plastic-plastic friction pairings. Possible applications are in slideways, seals (also EPDM), Bowden cables and belt tensioners. In such applications, UNISILKON F GLK 112 reduces friction, thus preventing annoying squeaking noise.
  • UNISILKON F GLK 112 is neutral towards most metals, thermoplastics and elastomers. Owing to the many different compositions of elastomer and plastic materials, we recommend checking their compatibility prior to series application. UNISILKON F
  • GLK 112 can be applied by means of spatula, brush, usual metering devices or the tampon printing method. In this context, please also refer to our Safety Data Sheet.
  • To attain optimum adhesion, we recommend cleaning the friction points prior to application and remove in particular any oil or grease.
