Cleaning oil for needles and sinkers in knitting machines.

Klüber Silvertex R 14 is a paraphenic hydrocarbon based cleaning oil. Klüber Silvertex R 14 contains special additives that ensure the formation of a carrier lubricating film that provides sufficient lubrication during the cleaning process.

Thanks to its low viscosity, Klüber Silvertex R14 can effectively penetrate even very small gaps and reach all areas for cleaning.
Klüber Silvertex R 14 is a high-performance oil that cleans needles, sinkers, couplings, needle cams and needle rollers. It also dissolves residue from cotton or synthetic threads in the needle slot or cam and is washed out with oil from the knitting machine.
Klüber Silvertex R 14 can also be periodically applied to needle boards, cylinders, engraving rings or dials with hand lubricant. In cases of heavy contamination with cotton or synthetic yarn waste, we recommend repeating the cleaning process several times to dissolve the yarn waste and yarn preparation aids and remove the dirt from the system.
The effect of cleaning can be increased by blowing compressed air. Klüber Silvertex R 14 is a ready-to-use product.
Circular knitting machine: In order to protect circular knitting machines, we recommend that the needles and sinkers, especially in the yarn area, be cleaned periodically with Klüber Silvertex R 14. Oil can be applied by the lubrication system of the knitting machine or manually via the oil can. Circular knitting machine operating at very high speeds should be slowed down before the first application of Klüber Silvertex R 14.
Thanks to the excellent cleaning effect of Klüber Silvertex R 14, dirt and thread residues are thrown out of the machine, reducing finished product contamination. Nowadays, flat knitting machines equipment is similar to circular knitting machines. We recommend using cleansing oil for periods of up to 8 hours.
After Klüber Silvertex R 14 application, make sure that the needle bearings and sinker guides are re-lubricated with the same needle and sinker oil.
Relubrication intervals are required to be reduced by some manufacturers.
Since viscosity may change at low temperatures, the oil should be warmed slightly before application to ensure trouble-free machine operation. Please observe the information on the lubricant barrels.
